Danielle Blunt,

CFP®, CDFA® Private Wealth Advisor, RJFS Founder & President, Blunt Wealth Services

Danielle’s clients value the close personal relationships she builds with them and the education and empowerment she provides. Her primary focus is helping retirees and pre-retirees plan for and enjoy a comfortable standard of living in retirement.

“I help people avoid costly mistakes in retirement,” Danielle says. “When you are no longer working, mistakes become more costly.”

Danielle is well-versed in retirement income planning. “Making your money work for you and providing a lifetime of rising income is very different than just growing your money in a 401(k),” Danielle says. “My main goal is that our clients enjoy the lifestyle they have earned and deserve after a lifetime of saving. This approach allows our clients the freedom to do what they want, when they want.

“Many times, my job is telling clients, ‘You can afford that!’ Clients sometimes refer to me as ‘The steward of their financial future,’” Danielle says.

Danielle also has a particular affinity for helping women executives, widows and divorcees manage their wealth, and she does so with great empathy and understanding. “I think women are a bit more concerned about addressing the financial worry of running out of money or not being a burden to their families. But I also find many women don’t want to be just told what to do, they want a financial partner to work with them, empower them and navigate challenges together,” Danielle says.

As a Certified Financial Panner professional, Danielle has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. She adheres to the CFP Board’s code of ethics for integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence.

Danielle is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® who understands the financial complexities that those going through a divorce may encounter, and she empowers them to make well-informed decisions throughout the process.

Meeting face to face with her clients is a large part of Danielle’s day. “We meet with our clients as frequently as they need,” Danielle says. “If a client is selling a business or going through a major life change, we may need to meet more often. If clients are at a point in their life where it’s smooth sailing and everything is on cruise control and they are enjoying life, we will meet less frequently.”

Danielle is passionate about financial literacy and education. She is a well-known speaker and educator and currently teaches personal finance at the Osher Lifetime Institute at California State University, Fullerton in the fall and spring semesters. She also devotes time to mentoring other financial advisors.

Many years into her career, Danielle realized that to truly help her clients invest and plan for their financial futures the way she wanted to, she would need to start her own company. She did just that in 2014, founding Blunt Wealth Services and aligning with Raymond James. It allows her access to the robust resources and state-of-the-art technology of one of the largest independent financial services firms. But most important, it gave her the independence to provide objective advice based solely on the best interests of her clients.

Previously in her career, Danielle was a financial advisor at Edward Jones and the South Pacific director of International Student Volunteers, where she managed student programs in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Earlier, she served as an accountant for a professional hockey league. She is a graduate of UCLA, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Danielle was born and raised in Southern California, and today lives in Anaheim Hills with her husband, Eric, and her children, Spencer, Amanda and Olivia. Danielle and her husband are avid RVers and will often tow along Eric’s jeep and some bicycles allowing them to explore wherever they set down.

Danielle has a passion for traveling and exploring other cities or countries, meeting locals and exploring new cultures and food. She is a major foodie and loves food events, wine tastings and live music.
