Carrie Botana
Carrie Valerio, AAMS Financial Advisor, RJFS

Carrie’s passion is working with business owners and our next generations. She is the business wealth and life transition professional at Blunt Wealth Services.

Preserving our clients’ financial legacy is our chief concern. That is why we are committed to working with and preparing your children and grandchildren for their financial futures by educating and equipping them with the tools to carry your legacy into the future.

Carrie’s days often involve meeting with business owners and the children and grandchildren of our clients. She guides them to help ensure they are on track for pursuing their goals. She helps them identify both short-term and long-term needs and then prioritize what’s most important to them.

Carrie also conducts many webinars for them to learn how to be good stewards of their money. “Having run a small business myself for many years, I understand that sometimes retirement is not always first and foremost on business owners’ minds. Sometimes the day to day is all you can focus on, so it’s important to me that business owners take care of their own families and needs as well as they do their clients.”

Her optimism and positive attitude greatly help in her determination to resolve any concerns or complexities our clients may encounter. “I ultimately want my clients to feel confident about all financial aspects of their lives,” Carrie says.

The financial world is always adapting and changing. Carrie enjoys researching upcoming and growing economic industries, including environmentally friendly companies and funds, to move forward with as interest in sustainable practices increases.

“This is a financial sector that is becoming progressively more important. I want to have the best resources available to help you make a meaningful impact on the people, communities and concerns that matter to you,” Carrie says.

Before Carrie joined our team in 2021, she was a client of Blunt Wealth Services and was introduced to us by her parents who are also clients of ours. It has given her a distinct perspective as she was able to experience firsthand our brand of care and service and what it truly means to be a part of the Blunt Wealth Services family.

Carrie left her position at the County of Orange as an accountant, to join our team and help make an impact on people’s lives. “I have always been very good with numbers, and I enjoy interacting and helping people,” Carrie says. “I am at my best when I can serve and help others towards their goals.”

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, business economics from California State University Fullerton, and associate degrees in both social science and business administration from Fullerton College.

Carrie is originally from Rowland Heights, California, and now resides in Corona, California, with her fiancé, Rick. In her free time, she finds joy in discovering new restaurants, eating local, and supporting small businesses. She also enjoys reading mysteries, thrillers and fantasy books. She danced with Ballet Folklorico for 15 years, performing at multiple community events and churches. She is also a licensed cosmetologist and gives makeup classes for dance performers, friends and neighbors.
